It was hard to find parking close to the hotel and there was an unpleasant musty scent in the hallway and in the room when the air conditional was on. We had to turn off the air conditioner in our room to lessen the smell so we could sleep. This would be my only reason for not booking a room there again.

The location could not be better: walking distance from the Legacy Museum, the Rosa Parks Museum and the Hank Williams Museums, as well as the riverfront and the bars and eateries of Commerce Street. We found the staff to be very cordial and helpful and our bedroom (located in the old building where Kinsmith is located) was comfortable and well appointed, with room robes and a coffee maker. The bathroom was large and pristine.

Park fee charged = 40 dollars!?!?

Nice hotel. Beautiful lobby. Close to everything we needed. Very walkable. I wish they let families know that one of the two onsite restaurants (the only one open in the evening) is only for 21+ so my daughter and I ended up leaving to get dinner. Not a big deal but would have been nice to know.

The lobby was so nice. The employees were all very kind. The room was spacious and we enjoyed our balcony. There was no coffee served anywhere until 7. There were no carts for our luggage anywhere. We had to haul all our stuff up ourselves. Be aware that the valet parking is quite a bit added to your stay.

Sophisticated design while respecting the history of the building. Staff friendly and professional staff. Best location in downtown Montgomery.

I booked this stay a week in advance. When I arrived, The card on file with Booking didn't work, so I had to pay again with a personal card. I was double-charged, which cost me over $600. Booking may be a fraudulent company now! BEWARE

Enjoyable stay! We really appreciated the hospitality.

Valet parking ($30 overnight) or you deal with the Mongomery public parking system which is free 6pm to 8am.

The only problem that I had with the property, was there was a smell similar to mold and mildew. I was concerned that I could contract something, but I was only there for five days and I don’t have allergies so I tolerated it. I was told it was due to a paper factory, not far from the property that burned and that was the smell. However, when I went outside, I did not smell it. It’s a beautiful hotel, but not up to the standing of other autograph collection hotels where I have stayed.

Amazing hotel in an amazing location. However, it seemed like the maids were understaffed because they did not refill my soap container until the very last day. Beautiful view from the balcony. Great restaurant and front desk staff. It also seems that they need to do a quick update on the decor and design. There were tiny details that were a bit dusty and overused. (Like door handles, etc.)

Wonderful, charming well-restored building with such a nicely decorated lobby and courtyard. We really enjoyed having a glass of wine at sunset on the fabulous roof-top bar. Breakfast was also yummy at the restaurant. Service was incredible. The only minor negative was the loudness of the air conditioner fan. There was no way to turn it off; it sounded like a space ship landing. Fortunately both of us had noise cancelling ear plugs for sleep, so highly recommend bringing those.

Location is perfect. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing and comfortable.

Location was ideal for the purpose of our trip. Perhaps not for everyone. Proximity to museums and historical sites
