Hilton Norfolk The Main

I had a horrible view. I looked at the top of the roof the whole time I was there the grain was wonderful. That location is excellent. The room smell like old rug yeah it smell like rug, but the amenities like the shower gel the lotion that was the especially the lotion that came in handy, cause I didn’t have no lotion so that was good. I just wish they had like more lights in the room and didn’t have enough lights I had to go in the bathroom to do my make up and I wanted to sit at the desk to do my make up and then have enough lights in the room like the lights was really dim.

I flew in that morning and originally booked the Sheraton which was so aesthetically bad I checked out 30 minutes later. Fast Forward, I called a friend(which is what I should’ve done originally, but was thrown off by the photos), he led me to the Hilton. As soon as I walked in it smelled so good and a Brandee at the front desk and the rest of the staff was so amazing at check in. The hallways were well manicured and just clean inside like it should be. We had access to the Executive Suite where the free snacks, drinks , coffee and just a quiet place to chill, watch tv and study if you have to. Can’t leave out the sleeping part—bed mattress was so comfortable you won’t want to get up. I can go on, but the Hilton Main will be my go to from now on when I go to Norfolk. You won’t. Be disappointed. 💯💯💯💯

Good experience great scenery luxury it was a vibe

View was gorgeous. Room was clean. Headboard beat up. Blankets are not fluffy or cozy....very thin. I was freezing in the room but hubby comfy. at 1:00 in morning no extra blankets in closet/armoire. I used towels as blankets. Love to sleep in complete darkness. Night light under bathroom mirror and bathroom doors are translucent. So light just went right through the door...I felt like was in Alaska. My room was so bright. After a full day organizing my daughters wedding, I was exhausted. Needless to say considering it was a Hilton I was very disappoited. Was not worth the money...it was expensive.

It certainly is the best hotel in Norfolk. The staff was really friendly and helpful and the facilities were exceptional

Clean room and great restaurant!

There was some hair on the floor in the hallway before you enter the bathroom. Other than that it was a superior overall experience.

The art is beautiful. One of the nicest in Norfolk.

Overall a great place to stay, wonderful amenities and location. Only issue was poor follow through with the front desk. Messages for the Valet, Restaurant and House Keeping were not delivered.

Room is great. Very clean. Excellent bed. Clean bathroom. The amenities at that hotel are excellent. Good restaurant, concierge, Valet--excellent. Brunch was excellent. Lastly--the Staff was superb; from the front desk, to the Valet, to the bartenders, to the people that made the omeletes and waffles.... outstanding.

Check-in was listed as 4:00 pm, we arrived at 4:10pm thinking our room would be ready and we could get in it, unfortunately we were wrong. After about 45 minutes and watching the lady I had checked in with leave, I go back to the check in desk to learn our room had been ready since 4:00pm like it was supposed to be. On Friday afternoon we decided to go to Grain which is advertised as a rooftop beer garden, thinking we would have a couple of drinks and enjoy the amenities of the hotel, we headed there only to find out that if you were not ordering food, there were limited areas you could enjoy. After we were told we couldn’t sit where we were, we finished our drinks and left. I would recommend spending your money anywhere else but here.

It would have been nice to have had a shuttle from the hotel to the luggage and passenger off.
