Universal's Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

The front desk staff gave inconsistent answers and handled check-in poorly: eight rooms booked under a corporate card were repeatedly charged in full, plus a $100 incidentals hold, to personal cards. One employee was turned away to call a reservation line, and the rest weren't caught until two days later. Alex was very helpful and eventually fixed all eight reservations, but the staff member at checkout the next morning was completely unhelpful, refusing to print receipts even though I was the one paying and saying they would be emailed to each guest instead. When I called three days later, the receipts were sent to me with no questions asked, which shows it could have been done at the desk all along.

So close to the parks and City Walk for full enjoyment. Water taxi or nice walk. Highly recommend.

It was a beautiful hotel with great staff. Beds in the room were a little hard. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I would 100% stay at Sapphire Falls again. It really gives you the feel of one of Universals premium hotels, without the premium price

Loved the location. Liked the facility. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool and fire pit area were lovely. Servers around pool and at Dhrum were great! The service in the Cafe area off the lobby was a bit dismal. No one seemed to understand English and therefore orders were hit or miss. Purchased refillable cups there and NOT ONCE did they have ice in the machine. I always had to wait in line and ask for a cup of ice. At one time the cashier took my refillable cup, dumped my soda and brought me back a cup of ice water when I asked him for ice. There was always ice in the pool area machines which was not convenient to our room. Had a 30 min wait for water taxi on Friday evening. As for value, everything had an 18% gratuity added. The room was comparable to the Holiday Inn Express in Port Canaveral which was a third the cost. You pay a premium for the convenience of accessing the parks.

I mean I’ve never had a pool towel guy offer to carry them for us to the pool chairs lol My only complaint would be that they had more quick food options. I think this will definitely be our place of choice for Orlando moving forward and can’t wait to go back.
