They also were not helpful when I wanted to cancel the last night and would not give me any information on who I booked it with. After I sat on the phone with A-I for 20 minutes and got it, and went to the desk to give it, theye "remembered" that YES, I did book through Hotels.com. Little things mean a lot.

Staff was very helpful. Rooms are showing much wear & tear and need some TLC.

Great, central location in between the universities. Well-designed rooms, comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff North view faces a parking lot, ask for a south-facing room

1. Lied about the ability to park my type of vehicle over the phone. Casted blame on Expedia! 2. The bed lining had blood and urine on it. 3. Said I would be compensated for the dirty bedding by refunding some of the cost of the rooms. However, at checkout made decision to be refunded in points. 4. Also was charged wine on my bill. I don't drink alcohol. The staff member did remove it. However, I never had that happen at any other hotel. 5. Was lied to by a staff member regarding a restaurant's affiliation to the hotel. I wanted the bill charged to my room. She said the restaurant was not affiliated with the hotel.

I reserved a king, but got a double queen, which they did not make right. They also won't let you pre-order breakfast to your room. But otherwise staff was attentive and helpful.

The service is also good—not exceptional, but perfectly satisfactory. Overall, I enjoy staying here and would recommend it, especially for its convenient location and comfortable rooms.

The service is also good—not exceptional, but perfectly satisfactory. Overall, I enjoy staying here and would recommend it, especially for its convenient location and comfortable rooms.

The bed is super comfy and the building is nice and historic, but there were some issues. The bathroom needed a better cleaning--the toilet was not clean. And the nespresso machine was missing a part so it was not available for morning coffee when needed (and expected). I've stayed here twice but may not return because of these issues. When I'm just in town for one night I expect my room to have what I need (such as a working coffee-maker) to start my day before getting back on the road. Wish it were a bit better maintained as there is also much to like about this place.

Overall, it was excellent

Breakfast was bit dessapointed, good menu, but services was not at the top level. Had to wait for side orders. Also the expresso machine was broke.
-
This wonderful hotel is conveniently located near Carnegie Mellon and other museums. We didn’t have to drive anywhere!

It's a good place to go if you're moving kids into Pittsburgh or Carnegie Mellon, but it's far from cheap

Beautiful building, amenities top notch. Perfect location to do a Pitt tour as the admissions building was a block away. Parking was connected.
