Holiday Inn Raleigh Downtown - Capital by IHG

Good

When I checked in the front desk attendant was so welcoming and helpful. It was such a relief after a weary day. Going to a hotel is already somewhat taxing but he made it very comfortable.

Location was good but amenities were very poor. It’s just old so everything feels a little dirty

Not good

Good location but the lobby smells bad and only one elevator worked for 19 floors.

Daytime staff was super friendly! The night staff was very curt with us and downright rude to another guest in front of us who wanted to cancel their stay when they discovered that their shower wouldn't drain and there were no other rooms available for them to move to. The location is the best part of this place. Otherwise I can't recommend it.

Unclean hotel, had to ask to change rooms and even the new one was dirty.

It was good but sad that there were no restaurants in the premises.

No complaints

The service desk was perfectly fine. The room 1114 had two problems: The wall HVAC unit was dusty, stinky, and noisy, couldn't get the temperature right until the second night, but still it was way too noisy. Second, the desk chair was too worn, too old to be comfortable, like sitting on a rail. Other furniture was perfectly fine.
