Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Richmond West End by IHG

The actual stay was a pleasant experience. My issue came afterwards upon discovering an additional charge on my bank account. Called and spoke with staff regarding the matter and was told they’d follow up but never did. Very unfortunate outcome and as a result, I’ll stay elsewhere if I’m in the area again.

Very convenient to everywhere I needed to go. The staff was very kind and helpful. Check in and out was very quick and efficient.

The facility was well maintained and within a close distance to other main attractions and shopping.

Nice spacious and clean room. Bed was comfortable and a nice chair to watch TV before bed.

Room excellent . Plenty of parking and staff overall helpful. Didn’t ask if I was a rewards member which I am and have yet to receive my final bill by email. Breakfast was a little lacking. No decaf coffee (which was a keurig machine ) forgot part of my breakfast, not busy so just lack of attention to detail .

Exceptional

The room was clean and the staff was helpful and polite.

Very nice manager upgraded our room when we asked, even though booking the room thru Expedia currently does not permit it. (New policy - lesson learned.) Also a highrise property meant we had a very quiet room w/ no traffic noise. The 'cooked to order' breakfast was good but we missed a b'fast buffet w/ fresh fruit, yogurt and other healthy choices where we can help ourselves.

The staff doesn’t respond or do anything to help you in anyway. The staff literally just sits outside smoking and texting on their phone and our unfriendly cranky people. Stay away.

It started with the front desk woman that checked me out being rude and uninterested. She did not smile or great me. She answered with head nods and would not answer the most basic questions. When I asked if there was trolley carts or any bell service she said a brief no like I was inconvenience her. It also did not help that there was little to no amenities like food. No free breakfast or restaurant that was open in the hotel. Just overpriced snacks. Worst of all when I asked one of the workers their whether there was food he said they were not open yet. When I arrived back from McDonalds, the worker had the nerve to ask us why we did not bring him anything. Horrible service. I want a refund of some sort.

Very clean. Rooms were comfortable with great A/C. Billy down at the bar was great! Enjoyed his service!

Very clean. Fantastic staff at check in. Disappointed there was not a hot tub. Location was next to a night club.

I don't like the fact that the sink is outside of the bathroom. That's weird. Other than that, it was very clean and our stay was nice.

Didn’t know that breakfast wasn’t included because the last time we stayed at a Holiday Inn it was included . Next time I will know what is available before choosing my accommodations and not assume. Thanks.
