Residence Inn by Marriott Salt Lake City Cottonwood

Lots to love about this place, but the AC compressor in a closet right next to the bed was not one of them. Extremely loud and made it next to impossible to fall asleep, guess my search for the best hotel in SLC continues

Excellent location for outdoor activities in the Wasatch Mountains and Park City. Breakfast (included) very good.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. The front desk staff was very personable upon check-in. The only complaint was the location of the ice machine which was a very long distance from the room and could only be accessed by the staff member. Otherwise, the whole experience was enjoyable.

Exceptional

I booked a room on Expedia and pre-paid the room charge and taxes. When I arrived, the hotel wanted another $75 per night pet fee for my small dog, which was nearly the cost of the room itself. What a bait-and-switch. The hotel and expedia refused to cancel my reservation and return my funds so I am disputing the charge through my credit card company. This is unacceptable advertising practices and theft of my funds. I would not recommend this hotel for that reason.

This was a trip that I reserved several weeks ahead for a room of 1 king's bed 5 days. The room's condition was new/clean. Free breakfast is served in the morning. Swimming pool and hot tub were included during the reservation. The staff greeted me each time I arrived and leave the building. The room that was given was spacious and quiet.

Roomy and comfy.

Unfortunately, there were some disappointing aspects of our room. The air conditioning was extremely loud and would wake us up throughout the night. There was also an odd smell in the room, and the pillows were uncomfortable for everyone in our group. Additionally, the pullout bed was uncomfortable even for our 10-year-old. Overall, while we were impressed with the remodel, the comfort and condition of the room left something to be desired.

Staff were beyond nice. Easy check in. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was very good. Close to the mountains and town with lots of food options. Would recommend 100%.

The buffet breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean and had a lot of room. My only complaint is their pool and hot tub. Both where very dirty. Just above the water line were dark rings. There was no way I would get into either!
