Historic Anchorage Hotel

Beautiful historic hotel, and loved the old-fashioned feel.

Value hotel next door to Hilton with old world charm which ended in the lobby. Streetside view window room ended up very noisy all night long with the homeless screaming & playing saxophone. Breakfast was less than optimal.

This is an older hotel. So I give them some credit for trying to keep it going. It has character. Despite any shortcomings, I'd rather stay in a place like this. In a central location, keeping downtown alive, rather than out in the strip malls or near the airport at some generic motel.

Loved the bar area and the breakfast being served in that room. The hotel room was extremely clean and very comfortable. Great location in central Anchorage. Good restaurants in the immediate area. Bed was very comfortable. Lack of AC forced us to have the room window open for ventilation.... very noisy outside.

Great downtown location with a wonderful classic, non-ostentatious vibe. It's "haunted" reputation adds to the enjoyment of staying there.

Location is perfect if you need to be in town- but watch out for the junkies Absolute rip off but then so is everything in this town . Noisy street opposite with junkies making a noise until late at night.

A lovely traditionally hotel, as opposed to some chain you can find anywhere. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Staff was courteous and helpful. The buffet breakfast was highly lacking in quality and quite dissatisfying.

Good location near train station however ip a big hill when arriving but train.

Kelvin at the front desk was great. He helped with our groups bags and loading into our Ubers.

Beautifully restored, comfortable bed, nice rooms. Staff at check in and out were excellent. The breakfast was dismal, paper bowls and cups, very limited choices. The breakfast staff member clearly didn’t want to be there. The hotel would get a higher rating if they chose not to do breakfast at all. This brought our rating down.

Good location for train travel. Try 49 Restaurant.

Excellent location. Walk to Anchorage Rail (5 mins) surrounded by restaurants and mall. Room was enormous with 2 double beds and lounge area. Look elsewhere for breakfast.

Unfortunately we had a train at 5:45am and could not partake in breakfast. It would have been nice if the hotel would have offered grab and go bags, but they did not. Even for Alaska, Air Conditioning would have been appreciated. A fan is not sufficient.
