It’s location to the event we attended. A bit overpriced but great location for downtown events.

Literally every thing Paying to park every time I left in and out

We wished there was a microwave in the room.

We showed up at 5:30 and our room was not ready. They said it would be 20 minutes which turned to an hour. We finally received our room and it had someone else’s luggage in it. By 7 we got an our room. We missed our dinner plans and almost missed our concert. Overall frustrating experience. The hotel by itself was great.

My experience at the Sheraton Birmingham was extremely disappointing, particularly because several of the amenities advertised online did not match what I actually encountered at the hotel. To start, the amenities listed on Hotels.com were seriously misleading based on my stay. An indoor pool was advertised, yet this hotel does not have a pool at all. If you want to swim, you apparently have to go to the neighboring hotel and ask about using their pool. That is absolutely not the same thing as a hotel having an indoor pool as an advertised amenity. The breakfast and parking situation were equally frustrating. I could not find the advertised restaurant offering a buffet-style breakfast. And as for parking, guests should know exactly what they are getting into: valet parking was $45 PER DAY. Yes, $45 a day just to park your vehicle. Otherwise, you have to park yourself in a third-party parking garage and then walk back to the hotel with your belongings. What made the parking situation even worse was the treatment I received while simply trying to unload my luggage. After I declined valet parking, I was rudely told that I could not remain there while unloading my belongings. I found that completely unreasonable and ignored the instruction long enough to unload my luggage. A paying hotel guest should be able to safely unload their belongings without being pressured into purchasing a $45-per-day valet service.

I the location of the property close to everything that I needed to be by for my stay. The check in staff was great except the evening I checked in they were standing and talking and didn't wait on me, luck for them a young lady came up to another desk and waited on me. She was a jewel. My room was on the highway side it was noise all night from the outside. I didn't get a lot of sleep

The staff (especially Jason at check-in!) were super friendly and helpful, and since I attended the event at Legacy Arena, staying at the Sheraton was a no-brainer. I used the valet service instead of trying to find parking myself, which was nice. I tried to order food at 9:45 p.m. via the QR code on my TV, but I kept getting an error saying food wouldn't be available until 11 a.m. the next morning. So I put my clothes back on, walked downstairs to the bar, ordered food, and was told the place was open until midnight. That was annoying, because I'd already changed into my pajamas and was ready to relax. The bar was busy, and my $9 dessert wasn't included in my order at first, so I went back (I'd not even reached the elevators) to ask for it. I then watched the server don a black plastic glove and hand-pluck my tiramisu from the display case, squishing some of it in the process since it had been there a while. I ate it anyway, and it tasted fine, but the sight was very off-putting. And while I know being next to the Interstate and its noise can't be helped, the constant roar of traffic (I had a room overlooking the roads) was loud and made it a bit hard to sleep.

Convenient to the convention center

The hotel was upscale, modern, clean, nicely decorated, and one block from Legacy Arena where my event was. It felt safe and the staff were friendly. Parking garage was connected via a skywalk and nice inside corridors. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. I would stay here again, especially for an event at Legacy Arena.
