Hilton Garden Inn Durham/University Medical Center

Horrible customer service, horrible manager name Andre, unprofessional, no real leadership for staff. Does not know how to communicate with customers or staff.

Excellent option for a hotel close to Duke Medical Center. Perfect for a short stay if traveling through Raleigh/Durham, visiting the area for work, or going to Duke Medical Hospital for any reason. About 5 minutes away from Duke Medical Center. Serves breakfast and has a lounge. Excellent dining nearby, like Parizade and JuJu -- look them up, you will not be disappointed. Updated and recently designed rooms. Fresh, consistent, always a reliable option for any discerning traveler. It's not the Ritz, but it's certainly not a low-end option. I'd choose this for a family, when traveling alone, or when traveling with a small pet. Safe. Quiet. Convenient. Clean. Nice.

Good hotel close to Duke Medical Center. Always clean and staff is always helpful. Perfect for an overnight stay or two-night stay if traveling through, visiting for work, or going to Duke Medical for any reason. Updated rooms. Fresh, consistent.

Great hotel close to Duke University Medical Center. I've stayed several times over the past three years. The recent renovations make it even better -- the rooms are fresh, clean, well designed, and up to date. Staff is always nice and welcoming. Cleaning staff is thorough and always consistent. Perfect for a 1-2 night stay in the area for work, Duke Medical, or passing through.

Good

Nice clean room in a great location for fine dining. We will definitely stay here again when in Durham.

No staff on site at check-in. We waited 20 minutes then left to find another hotel. Unacceptable.

Bar closed due to construction. Very loud due to work going on. Was not informed about this prior to check in

Close to Duke Location is sketchy

Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room.

We were in town to visit our son, and this location was very convenient. The hotel was clean and pleasant.

Very nice renovated room. Hotel in the middle of being renovated so the lobby looks offputting. But our entire floor hallway and room was completely updated and looked beautiful. I can see the vision. Just get the lobby together. Beds are very comfortable.

Location The property is under renovation and this was not indicated on the website. We chose this property because it was a Hilton Garden Inn with a restaurant and lounging area and indoor pool. However, with the renovation there was nowhere to sit and relax. The tables for the restaurant we’re in the middle of the lobby. And to access indoor pool, you had to go outside the building and around and it was raining that day. So we ended up having to leave the hotel to go to a restaurant, etc. Had we known about the renovation we would have selected another property. And we still paid over $200 for the night.

Easy to park. Convenient to DPAC event. No breakfast offered.

Location Too pricey. No complimentary breakfast for the price if the room.

Comfortable stay. Slept well. Staff was great:

Construction that was going on. Less service on the weekend.
