Wonderful stay for my husband’s 80th birthday. Most outstanding were the staff at Riverwalk Cafe who went out of their way to accommodate our party of 12 including a wheelchair, 2 vegetarians, and very special dessert plate. Thank you. Loved it.

As the Gaylord Texan is a property meant to impress every guest with its lush landscape, interior grandeur, all-in-one trip amenities and luxurious furnishings, a little more attention could be paid to the confusing situation at Valet Parking by the front lobby upon arrival. One can visit Paradise Springs hours before their room is available. I wasn't clear on the process and was advised, through a phone call to the property, that the best way would be to park by the lobby, take your luggage to Bell Check, park, then get on the trolley to the waterpark. To follow this advice, we had to navigate that confusing situation at Valet Parking, We did not want to pay Valet Parking, So we risked our vehicle being towed while parking in the fire lane. Not good. The proper advice is this: Come to property. Park in Self Park. Walk to the swim park trolley, board it, and you will get your wrist bands by simply telling the Water Park people your name. Return on the trolley, get your bags from parking, and check in.

Luxury inside hotel Outdoor pool had some fire ants around spa and debris and bugs floating on top of water.

This resort has some amazing visuals but be prepared to open your wallet for everything. Prices for food and drinks are outrageous and you don't have a lot of options to leave the resort.

Beautiful!! Pool was very small and foggy

Nice but expensive. If your going to spend that kind of money, you would expect service that is top notch. Not saying it was bad but not outstanding.

We loved our family stay here! Live animals to pet, water park was amazing. Completely loved it!!

Disappointed with water park not clearly being off the property. We assumed it was onsite from info & pics provided, but had to take a bus ride. Hard to coordinate with a 1 yr old. And we were shocked at how overwhelming it was walking in to the hotel. The staff who checked us in did not greet us, didn’t ask if we had any questions, and scared us that our room wasn’t available bc we booked thru hotels.com- somehow their confirmation # is different. So I panicked thinking we didn’t have a place to stay. Then we asked the night before check out if we could do late check out so we could do the water park the last day (was told prior to booking that we could do this), and front desk staff said no. We packed everything up and changed our plans and went down to check out and they asked if we’d like to check out late! We had already packed and sent our stuff with bellman and changed our plans for the day. Poor communication. It’s like if it’s your first time there, you’re thrown to the wind. Lastly, there was a Pokemon convention at the adjoining convention center that we were unaware of, and there was a considerable amount of strangeness and non-family friendly characters all throughout the hotel all weekend. We will not be going back. The waterpark was the only redemption.
