Safe, clean but tired and dated. Good value if you need to be in Juneau, but too dark and sad for a vacation trip. I stayed here on short notice as I needed to come to Juneau for an emergency.

Great location, well maintained for an older property. Walking distance to food and drinks made it easy to enjoy the city and see the sights. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises

The phone was not plugged in Beds were very comfortable Couch had a stain on it There was a dirty cloth in the bathroom

The location was great, however, the accommodations were not. We found our door slightly open when we arrived. Next time the door was completely open and our personal belongings in full view/access. Then we had no power for over two hours. When I called to inquire as to when power would be restored they had no idea power was out. We were moved to another which was smaller and the door was hard to open. You needed force to open. Would not recommend.

Good location. The staff weren't very friendly when I checked in and asked questions about the area. The lady who checked me in seemed like I was bothering her during check-in. The restaurant for dinner was closed, and they said the staff was on vacation.

The Baranof lacks walls/privacy: I could hear my neighbors on all sides: think you’re watching TV alone? Got gas and want some privacy in the bathroom? Want to get intimate with your lover? This ain’t a place for kids. And the snoring……

The elevator sounded like it was going to break. Almost all the ice machines were out of order. The entire hotel had no hot water one morning.

The sheets were old and stretched out and kept coming off the mattress. Wallpaper was coming off the walls. It was dark and dingy. Only positive part was location. It was an 8 minute walk from port. Is Best Western aware of conditions at hotel? Elevator felt as if it was ready to breakdown. Poor excuse for a hotel. The room was very hot and we had no way to control thermostat. Had to open windows. Could not keep them open because it was very noisy outside. Caused me to have a bad night’s sleep.

We had a great stay. Nice room and staff.

The rooms are a tad small for two people. The property is in need of a refresh. Trying to get the door unlocked with the keycard was a daily challenge. Location was great, just steps to shopping and dining. Be aware there is no A/C, which is probably fine most of the year, but the week we were there not so much.
