Everything was exceptionally clean, cozy & beautifully decorated. The whole property has such a warm & inviting atmosphere, and the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet while still being within walking distance of so much. Parking was also easy - right on the property. One of our favorite parts was the breakfast every morning from 8–10 am. They put out a wonderful full spread each day, which made our mornings feel extra special. The hospitality really stood out to us. Anytime we needed anything, someone was there right away & always so kind and helpful. We felt genuinely taken care of throughout our entire stay. It was such a lovely place to spend our honeymoon & it made our time in Kennebunkport even more memorable. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it! :)

Can’t say enough how great this stay was. Check in, staff, on site crew preparing daily breakfast. We will be back. 5/5. The bike, chair, towels, and umbrellas is such a nice amenity.

The staff, from greetings to departure were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast each morning had special treats, like quiche and baked eggs. What was prepared came gluten free and they had GF English muffins and bagels available. Rooms were nice, beds very comfy. Location couldn’t be better for walking to restaurants and shops.

Absolutely loved my stay! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the B&B itself is beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy this lovely town.

The location was perfect….close to all the shops / restaurants and everything we wanted to explore. The property was beautiful and full of character, making it feel like a truly special place to stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful…..warm and attentive throughout our visit. We loved the atmosphere and the convenient location, and would happily stay here again!!! Highly recommend for a lovely Kennebunkport getaway!

I liked that checking in and out of the property was so easy and sufficient. When I mentioned that we were celebrating an anniversary they wrote my partner and I the kindest card and left us two whoopies pies - extra points for being super delicious! There's not much to do about this - but given that it was a older house you can pretty much hear everything that is happening from outside of the room. I heard a lot of people going up and down stairs, laughing and talking at late hours. Didn't matter too much to me since we are a young couple but I can imagine someone older getting upset about something like this.

Lovely location in K’bunkport. The room was simple, as advertised. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices. Good communication with front desk staff. Paper products were decidedly meh. Ditto bath products. Upgrading these would be great. Also, given the caliber of the hotel company that owns this inn, I don’t understand why there aren’t a couple of bottles of water available per person, per day, as in most hotels.

Property is very well kept. Clean, decorative, very spacious. Staff were very helpful. Parking was easy. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Lovely decor.

The location couldn’t have been better, everything in Kennebunkport was within walking distance, which made exploring the town so easy. They also have bikes available for guests to use, which was such a nice touch, although we unfortunately didn’t have enough time to take advantage of them. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer in Kennebunkport! We truly loved our time here and would absolutely stay at the Captain’s Collection again.

Breakfast was excellent every day and unique each morning. Tips, recommendations, suggestions were handled graciously. Enjoyed the amazing woodwork and colonial architecture, historical authenticity and beautiful grounds. Did not use the bikes, pool, gym

We had a wonderful stay at the Nathaniel Lord Mansion. It was the right blend of having super helpful staff around but at the same time feeling like you were on your own in your own home. I loved that they thought of all of the little things you would care about like water for your room, sweet treats (the cookies were great) and how to get around. We also liked that we could easily walk to everything but we also used the bikes for exploring a bit further away. It was a delightful stay all around.

Everything.

All the inns in n the collection are very nice and the location is very convenient. You can easily walk to shops and restaurants. Our room was a nice size with a couch and fireplace, but the bed was uncomfortable. The seating areas outside are very nice and so convenient to have bicycles, towels and beach chairs available for guest to use. Breakfast was simple, but more than enough to start the day and always something warm and fresh to eat. Best chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. I would easily recommend this place.
-
Fantastic location for walkable distance to restaurants / waterfront / shops. Great grounds and beautiful accommodations. The provisions throughout the day are good; staff provide a lovely breakfast then hot & cold drinks / fresh pastries, cookies and water but there is no option to purchase drinks or snacks onsite in the evening. There are local shops etc but requires advance planning

My sisters and I stayed here on our annual sisters’ trip. It could not have been better! We enjoyed the lovely grounds, historic rooms, home made breakfasts, and bikes. It was perfectly located with easy walkability to town (but not in the thick of it), bike-able to the beach, and wonderfully quiet. The staff was the perfect level of attentive. Honestly I can’t think of anything that could have been improved! Highly recommend booking your stay here.
