Beautiful quaint hotel. Staff was very accommodating. Beautiful views of the ocean, quiet although it was sold out for ohana fest. Walls are thick!

Charming older property. Not the most modern, but a cool unique vibe.

This was our 2nd stay and new what to expect. The hotel and rooms are very old but unique, definitely needs some touch up paint in the room's. Unfortunately this time around our a/c swamp cooler vent was unattached and blew hot air through the room, I asked for it to be repaired while we were gone for the day . To my disappointment when we got back 12 hours later, the repairs were not made. I asked the front desk about the repairs the gal said maintenance was not available so I asked for some duct tape, that they were very happy to give me so I could make the repairs myself. 15 minutes later I was able to remove the old melty duct work and make a more secure vent to cool off our room. Thank you "me" for acting so quickly.

Great staff , managers , bartenders and location.

Had auto trouble in their parking lot - first response was “call AAA”. After returning home, found they have charged us twice. They then charged us the resort fee again immediately, and said our refund would be a few days. Buyer beware.

Wonderful front desk attendant! Filled out s in on the rooms and unique features of each !

I waited for a long time for someone from front desk to show up to ask a question and they never did. Place smelled old and dirty. The young gentleman that assisted us during check-in was absolutely amazing. Our bed had so much sand under the covers and the red couch in the room was super dirty and disgusting.

The rooftop bar is fantastic. There is nothing like watching the sun set while having a cocktail. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

It was our first and last time staying over here

The staff were really helpful. But other than that, the property needs a lot of updating. The AC in the room is so loud. The rooms and the hallway need a lot of update. It feels like we stepped in few decades back and not in a good way. There is a stark difference between the lobby and the rooms. We stayed in one of the surf rooms. The carpet feels like it hasn’t been changed in years. The sofas in the room had lots and lots of lint, would definitely benefit from some upholstery work. The bathroom also didn’t feel clean, probably because it needs some change/ new fixtures. Regarding amenities, we only had decaf coffee in our room, no microwave. The bed was decent and comfortable. Overall, it wasn’t the best experience because of the property. The staff were really helpful regardless.

Love it

Such a beautiful location as it felt like we had our own private beach 10steps out the door. The rooftop bar is honestly the best one and has the best view for sunsets! This hotel has character! We will definitely be back! Staff - make sure to buy more portable chairs for the beach … soon!

The main thing to remember when booking here is that you are paying for the location, not the room. Definitely not the room. It is an older hotel and the room we had did reflect that. The number one thing that made it so we won't return is that that when we were there (August) it was hot and humid, however no one had turned on the portable AC in the room before we got there. The room didn't really become bearable until the next morning. Just make a reservation for the rooftop and stay somewhere else.

Don’t miss this beautiful affordable gem! Probably the best deal in Laguna Beach. Yes, the rooms are quaint and could use a little buff up. Paint here a little work on the windows, but the beds are wonderful. The shower works great. The view is unbelievable and just steps from the ocean, if you just want to reset your nervous system go and stay if you’re looking for polished and refined this isn’t your place. I spent two separate trips there each time waking up early to grab my coffee and watch the sun come up over the ocean. The beach is spectacular convenient. They have chairs and umbrellas and things you can bring down there. The staff is super welcoming.I just sat on the bench above the water, watching the kids, body surfs, and in the morning when it’s super quiet, I watched the sun slowly shine up the water and at dusk, I couldn’t resist looking at this beautiful sunset. Definitely will be back if you haven’t been Laguna Beach make this your first stop you won’t be disappointed. It’s super quiet at night. I’m very comfortable. It feels safe and there’s lovely dining options just around each corner. There’s a great dining and bar rooftop deck. Perfect place to look at Laguna and enjoy a cocktail or a great dinner. I’ll be back again this is healing for the soul.
