    Everything was good

This was our second visit here and it was lovely as before. We ended up changing rooms for a better view and Jeff at the front desk was super helpful. The spa was lovely and I always enjoy the complimentary activities that offered.

We traveled with our 1-year-old and found the resort very family-friendly. We used the kids’ pools constantly, and there are also several other pools and a lazy river. We added the breakfast buffet to our stay, which was worth it because we did not have to pay separately every morning. There was a great variety, everything was clean and fresh, and our baby ate so well because there were many options. A few things to know: self-parking is about $50 per day and valet is about $55. Cocktails and drinks are around $20 each, so be prepared for a larger resort bill at the end of your stay. The location is beautiful, but many attractions are far away. Most places required at least 30 minutes of driving, the airport was around 50 minutes away, and Road to Hana took us close to 3 hours each way. A rental car is definitely necessary. Overall, we loved the hotel, the staff, the amenities, and how family-friendly it was. We would absolutely stay here again.

The location was gorgeous, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our trip. Everything was so comfortable and well taken care of, and we genuinely didn’t want to leave! We enjoyed every part of our experience and would 100% stay here again. We’re already looking forward to coming back! ❤️

Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We also really appreciated that the resort never felt overcrowded and there weren’t too many kids around, which made it feel especially peaceful and enjoyable. Overall, this was easily one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing Maui getaway!

I'm very disappointed by the experience in this hotel. The pools and hot tub were very nice, but we're closed pretty early. For a hotel at this price point, I expected much more. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here. We actually moved our flight back from Maui one night earlier specifically so we could spend the last night of our honeymoon at the Hyatt, on our first wedding anniversary. I mentioned the occasion in advance and expected at least some small acknowledgment, but there was nothing at all, which was disappointing. The room itself also felt surprisingly basic for such an expensive hotel. It wasn’t particularly well equipped — there wasn’t even regular coffee creamer or nice glassware in the room. The layout was also very inconvenient and poorly designed. For example, you can’t comfortably stand in front of the sink and mirror while opening the shower door at the same time, because the spaces interfere with each other. We also tried to book some of the complimentary activities, but everything we were interested in was already closed for booking. Beach access was less convenient than expected, with quite a long walk to actually reach the beach, and the water pressure in the room was very low. Overall, the stay simply did not feel worth the price. We paid a significant amount for what was supposed to be a special night during our honeymoon, and the experience felt very underwhelming. I would not choose to stay here again.

Staff was excellent. Some of the hotel needs updating, ie Swan Court and the shops area. That hasn’t changed in over 15 years.

Beautiful view, cleanliness, and all the amenities were great.

This completely ruined our vacation, especially because we were traveling with children. For a hotel at this level and price, I expected much better cleanliness, guest care, and responsibility. We were also very concerned about our luggage and the possibility of carrying bugs with us after leaving. This was not a small inconvenience. It was a serious cleanliness and health concern that affected my entire family. I would not recommend this hotel unless they take these issues seriously and properly compensate affected guests.

Food was excellent at all restaurants and bars. Clean open space, rooms were great. Watch out for the $55 a day parking vallet no one tells you about.

I normally don't take the time to write reviews but knowing the cost/travel commitment for a family to travel all the way to Hawaii as a dream vacation i hope this can be as helpful as possible for the next. I traveled with my wife and two kids (3 yrs and 6 months). It was our first time. Upon arrival my toddler and I went to check in and the concierge was great. After a long day of travel, they brought out Lei's for my family and even gifted my toddler a coloring book and card. That meant alot! The team walked us all the way to our room and gave us good info about the property along the way. We booked the king ocean view room and it was well worth the view. We had an amazing view from the 7th floor of the entire main pool, waterfall, and perfect sunset every night. The room was spacious and was plenty for my family and I. One of the biggest reasons we booked the Hyatt was we wanted to have a major home base that had everything we needed without traveling the island (yes different type of Hawaii trip but if you have young children you understand). Several restaurants, on resort convenience and apparel stores, a golf simulator, and even a golf course right across the street. We truly did not need to leave the property at all. The kids pool was a major plus as it had a splash pad and small silde with plenty of space for my toddler to hang out safely and play with other kids. It was a sand bottom kids pool which was really neat. We spent alot of time here. You also have access to the Hyatt Vacation Club next door which has several super nice pools/kids pools that were very quiet. Often times we were the only family there. The entire property is ocean front so you have great views no matter where you are. The biggest recommendation i can give is definelty opt in for the breakfast included option at booking. Hawaii can be very expensive - and it was nice to know from 6-11:30 we can go into the buffet free of charge. The beach on the resort isnt super expansive. You are better off walking down about 5-10 min for more beach options. A quick walk about 5 minutes up the beach and we had a great little private area with natural shade from the large trees water front. Worked great for us.
