Howard Johnson by Wyndham Mystic

Location was great for where we were going to go out. Did not offer hand soap. No hand sanitizers were visible throughout the property. No coffee offered in room.Had to ask for body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand cream at front desk. Housekeeping did not leave these in bathroom. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Dirty carpeting in hallways. Rundown building. The cost for one night’s stay was close to $300! Way overpriced for what we expected. Other Wyndham Hotels are cheaper and much better than this one.

We were very happy with our stay. Sayyid is who did our check out. Everything went very smoothly. The room was very clean, bathroom very clean, bed super comfortable. The pool was clean and warm and clean as well. There was no breakfast, but you get a great breakfast at Mystic Diner for all your meals. Yes, there are potholes in the parking lot, but they are everywhere. I am happy with our stay. There was nothing we did not like.

Nice stay convenient location.

It was a good place right in Mystic. Beds were comfortable and staff friendly, even at 10:00pm when we arrived.

The road leading into the location was horrible.

Location Some of the interior lights didn’t work. Stains on carpet. No hand soap. Tub/shower had mold around grout. No porch light. Toilet wobbled. Sliding glass door didn’t close all the way and had a gap.

The building is quite rundown

Fine, safe place to sleep. Easy check-in/out. Great location. Really dated and much too expensive for the price. I'd be fine staying there, but would expect to pay significantly less.

The room was dirty and the whole hotel was run down. The pool had visable mold in the ceiling. The staff was very nice though.

Looked like everything in the room was new: the floors, the paint the walls. The $100 credit card hold. We already paid for the room; you don't need more money.

The smell as soon as you walk in was awful. The corners of the hallways had hair and muck. As we walked to our room we first checked out the indoor pool- the water looked “thick”. We did not use. The room appeared to look clean but when you really started looking- especially in the bathroom, you could see the place had not thoroughly been cleaned in a very long time. It was actually really gross to see and I chose to only shower once during our 3 day stay. Will not ever stay again. The one positive note I will say- is that the woman who greeted me when checking in was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable of the area. She was really the only saving grace of the trip.

There was a very nice restaurant right next to the hotel with an excellent breakfast menu! There wasn’t enough soap for the showering. When I asked for more, the attendant seemed reluctant to let me have it. Additionally, he was relaxing in a couch in the lounge area and talking on his phone. Very unprofessional.

If you don't need anything fancy, it is a good hotel. Directly across from the Olde Mystick Village shops and a short drive to downtown.

If your looking for a room with no amenities, this is the place. It's clean and has basics

I didn’t even get a chance to stay at this hotel. I checked the room and immediately walked out. The room was in terrible condition, from the ceiling of the bathroom to the door that separates the rooms. The AC was not working and the furniture was damaged. I have emailed the manager and have not heard a response to get my refund. Do not stay here.
