Costa Art Hotel

We had the absolute best time. We traveled with children and the hotel had stuff for them to use at the beach and also a nice pool they had an amazing time in. The beds were extremely comfortable and were decent size. There was also an outdoor shower that was useful to clean off any residual sand after using the nearby beach. The cookies in the afternoon were delicious and they had some great grab and go things for the morning. We will be back again and wonderful memories were made for all.

Nice rooms, recently renovated. Breakfast was sufficient, coffee was great. Very close to the beach, a bit steep walk, but we made it. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Breakfast was good, so was location. Although it's pet friendly, I didn't hear dos barking. Room was clean. Excellent shower. Mattress was too soft. I should have asked for a room away from the street. The balcony wasn't worth the extra price.

Comfortable stay just a few minutes from the beach. Breakfast simple but quite nice compared to other places we stayed at during our California tour. Small downsides: street noise from highway in front, and the AC would need some upgrade. Quite nice actually to walk to the center of Laguna Beach through Hensler Park, probably 1 1/2 miles or so (good for running as well).

Cute little hotel in Laguna. Room was super clean and the staff was friendly. Stayed for one night for a friend’s birthday.

I request a partial refund for my booking at Costa Art on Friday, September 4. Returning to the room at approximately 11 PM after attending the Pageant of the Masters, we found that neither of our access cards worked, and we could not get into our room. There was no one on the property to assist. There were no employees around. I attempted to contact the emergency after hours number, and received voicemail after voicemail. It was answered once and I was put on hold indefinitely - all in all six calls to the emergency number over a period of 30 minutes while my wife was forced to sit in the hallway or look around to try and find a place for us to sleep, possibly near the pool, because her vehicle keys were locked in the room. This is completely unacceptable! In addition, we paid $512 for a room that should’ve cost $100. No toilet paper holder, no hooks or towel bars in the bathroom, the shower curtain drooped down into the tub instead of out to provide more room. There was no chair or place to sit in the room, other than the desk chair, even though there was an area obviously for furniture. The included “breakfast” was the sub-level offering one would expect at a budget motel. The elevator didn’t work when we checked in…I could go on, but the fear, embarrassment and inconvenience of being locked out of our room at midnight was a new low in lodging. This was no where near a $500 experience! There wasn’t even a bottle of water in the room, nor any other amenities! Please make this right and adjust my bill. Thank you! (By the way, the desk employees were kind and courteous.)

North Laguna location. No parking charge. Close to walking to Heisler park/ beach and downtown Laguna. It’s not on the ocean side of PCH. Everything was fine

The rooms were clean, efficient, cool, quiet. Not enough towels for a two day stay. No wash cloths, but I agree with that, as wash cloths are so personal and should be brought by guests. And, not enough parking spaces available when the motel is full of guests.

Close to Laguna Beach activities and restaurants and public transportation

Loved the location and how convenient it was to the beach and other restaurants nearby When it was time to go to sleep, I found not only sand, but dog hair and human hair in my bed. Disgusting!! Were the sheets not properly washed or changed before our check in? I definitely wouldn’t book at this hotel again

Just across the street from the beach. Very comfortable beds. Very clean and updated inside the room. Check in was quick. Elevator was not working day 2. From floor 2 and being older its a must to have the elevator working. The air conditioner was very noisy. The outdoor furniture by pool could have been updated.

They were closed on open hours! We called the number they put on the wall for emergencies and they didn’t answer for 2 hours! We had to leave! AND THEY WONT REFUND ME! There was even a guest who was frustrated because her key didn’t work and she couldn’t get in her room , she was also there for 2 hours calling ! They will scam you !! They were closed on open hours! I love the Hotel ! Is convenient and close to the beach! Changing management wasn’t a smart move ..Irlanda (ex manager) bring the hotel up..was clean ,sheets,towels,housekeeping she was amazing…it was very sad looking the hotel in less than a month going down…The new manager is a young wonderful woman and she is trying very hard to keep everything together…Johnathan is a very knowledgeable,professional,friendly “not afraid to roll his sleeves “ hard worker man…Dylan perhaps has a lot in his plate or his burn out,his performance is been very poor…Housekeeping the good onces already left…I know the hotel perfectly it’s been my second home ,literally…Irlanda (ex manager)shoes are going to be hard to fit..I m not sure if I m going to be back..However I believe in second chances…
