the hotel is right on highway 1 so the rooms can get quite loud but for the most part, its ok, the beds were comfortable and the staff good. no in room kettles and even if you pay for the most expensive room, you will hear the highway. the yoga deck also has a lot of road noise and no yoga blocks.

Breakfast was fantastic - really high quality food. At 7am, showed up for coffee and was told they were behind in getting everything out- no big deal, it was early, but the milks were mixed up. After dolling up my coffee and drinking half, realized it tasted off and 1/2 and 1/2 had been switched to the sign for almond milk. For someone with an allergy, this could have been a big deal. Overall, it was an okay experience, staff seemed frazzled.

I loved staying at this hotel! It’s small, so staff was super attentive and helpful. The property is quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed breakfast and their cocktails were great!

The location and offerings here are essential. Shaw’s Cove feels like a hidden gem and having access right there is ideal! The cozy breakfast view is delightful and they have great coffee. Staff is very friendly and the bar access is low key and exactly what is needed. Perfect for a romantic getaway!

Perfect place to spend a few days to relax, lounge by the pool, and swim in Shaw's Cove just a 2 minute walk away. Couldn't recommend Hotel Joaquin enough!

What a hidden gem. The courtyard and pool were amazing. Welcome drink upon arrival. Breakfast included by an incredibly friendly staff. Walk to beach and trolly stop!
