Frequently asked questions

What should I look for in a wedding hotel in Pennsylvania?

A good wedding hotel offers ample event space for your reception, enough guest rooms for out-of-town guests, and convenient facilities like getting-ready suites. Properties like the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown offer both a large ballroom and hundreds of rooms on-site, so your guests can walk from the ceremony to their accommodations. Amenities like catering, on-site coordination, and AV support vary by property, so confirm details when you book.

How does billing work when I reserve a block of rooms for my wedding guests?

Engine offers consolidated invoicing, so you can manage payments in one place rather than tracking individual reservations. You'll have access to multiple payment options and there's no membership fee to use the platform. This makes it simpler to handle costs for your out-of-town guests, whether your family is covering the block or guests are paying individually.

Which parts of Pennsylvania have the best selection of hotels for weddings?

Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and the Wilkes-Barre area all have hotels with significant event space and guest-room capacity. Philadelphia properties like the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown feature extensive ballroom space, while Camp Hill near Harrisburg and Wilkes-Barre offer large-scale venues with full-service amenities. Choosing a location depends on where your guests are traveling from and what atmosphere you want for your big day.

Can Engine help me book both the reception space and guest rooms?

Yes. The hotel's event and reception space can be searched and booked through Engine Spaces, a free marketplace of hotel meeting and event spaces across the U.S. and Canada. For your guest-room block, if you need nine or more rooms, Engine Groups handles the booking; eight or fewer rooms can be booked self-serve on the platform.

How do I reserve a block of hotel rooms for out-of-town wedding guests?

If you need nine or more rooms, Engine Groups takes care of the room-block booking for you. For eight rooms or fewer, you can book directly through Engine's self-serve platform. Either way, you'll have access to pre-negotiated rates and the flexibility to accommodate guests traveling from across the state or beyond.
