Wedding Hotels in Florida

Getting Married in Florida

Planning a celebration in Florida means choosing from hotels with serious event space and room blocks for your out-of-town guests. The wedding hotels in Florida you can search and book through Engine include SkyBeach Resort in St. Petersburg, which leads the list with a single event space of about 75,000 square feet (the South Lawn Sports Center) that can accommodate up to 8,325 people across 17 event spaces and 155 guest rooms. Couples, planners, and guests booking rooms for weddings anywhere in the state can compare properties, reserve guest-room blocks, and explore reception spaces all in one place.

Florida's beaches, warm weather, and year-round appeal have made it a popular choice for weddings, from the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic shore, and the hotels on this list are spread across cities throughout the state. You can search and book guest rooms at these properties on Engine, and for a block of 9 or more rooms to accommodate out-of-town guests, Engine Groups handles the room-block booking. The hotel's event space for your reception can be booked through Engine Spaces, Engine's free marketplace of hotel meeting and event spaces across the U.S. and Canada, or arranged with the hotel directly. Engine offers pre-negotiated rates, consolidated invoicing, multiple payment options, and no membership fee.

Frequently asked questions

What should I look for in a hotel for my wedding reception and guest rooms?

A hotel built for weddings offers banquet and ballroom space large enough for your guest count, plenty of on-site guest rooms for out-of-town family and friends, and facilities like getting-ready suites and on-site catering (which vary by property). The hotels on this list range from properties with a dozen event spaces to those with more than seventy, so you can compare layout, capacity, and amenities. Engine lets you search and book both the guest rooms and the reception space in one place.

Do these Florida hotels offer parking, Wi-Fi, and other amenities for wedding guests?

Most hotels provide parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, on-site dining, and sometimes shuttle service to nearby airports or attractions. Specific amenities vary by property, so check each hotel's details on Engine when you search. Some also offer welcome bags, room upgrades for the couple, and rehearsal-dinner space, but those are best confirmed directly with the hotel.

How does billing work if I reserve a block of rooms for my wedding guests?

For a block of nine or more guest rooms, Engine Groups handles the booking and offers consolidated invoicing, multiple payment options, and no membership fee. If you need eight rooms or fewer, you can book self-serve through Engine. Either way, you get pre-negotiated rates and straightforward billing for your group.

What should I compare when choosing between hotels in different Florida cities for my wedding?

Compare the size and layout of each hotel's ballroom or event space, the number of guest rooms on-site, and proximity to the airport serving that city. If you have guests flying in from across the country, a hotel near Orlando or Fort Lauderdale may be easier to reach than a resort town. Also consider what your guests will do between events, like beach access, downtown walkability, or resort amenities.

Which parts of Florida have the most hotels set up for weddings?

Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Miami tend to have the highest concentration of hotels with large ballrooms and event space. Many of these properties serve both leisure travelers and groups, so they offer a range of capacities and layouts. You can search by city on Engine to compare reception space, guest-room counts, and availability across the state.

Why don't you show rates for these hotels?

Hotels give Engine rates they only allow us to show business travelers, so a public page cannot list them. Create a free account with your work email to see them.

Is Engine free?

Yes. An Engine account is 100% free and without commitment, and you can leave anytime. Sign up with your work email.
